Our History
Camilia Rose continues the caring legacy of Rosa Camille Williams
Rosa Camille Williams was called to care for older adults’ health needs. For years, she worked in area hospitals and people’s homes. Later in life, after farming, she cared for people in her own home, on Columbus Avenue in South Minneapolis, and at her farm house in Coon Rapids, MN. As a nurse, her compassionate care filled the lives of individuals with dignity and warmth, in a caring home.
As a loving tribute to Rosa, her daughters, Agnes and Margaret, and granddaughter Mary Tjosvold founded Camilia Rose in 1977 to provide that same compassionate care. Located on the site of Rosa‘s farmstead in Coon Rapids, MN, clients enjoy a quiet, wooded residential area and receive skilled nursing services in a community that still radiates with warmth, friendship, and dignity. Margaret’s son Dean and grandchildren also work to carry on Rosa’s legacy.
Camilia Rose Care Center clients receive the highest quality care with the latest in rehabilitation services and memory loss care. Our environment has maintained Rosa’s mission of care within a home setting.
